چکیده

Piglet birth weight is an important factor for their survival and growth. As the pre-mating diet influences sow's metabolic state, this may have impact on follicle development after weaning subsequent piglet weight. We investigated effect of dietary fibre (DF; sugar beet pulp (SBP) microfibrillated cellulose (MFC)) hormones metabolites (IGF-1, non-esterified fatty acids (NEFA), creatinine, urea leptin), development, litter characteristics at farrowing in 58 hyper-prolific primiparous sows 16.5 ± 0.4 piglets used three consecutive batches. supplemented commercial diets (CON) with SBP MFC during last week lactation weaning-to-oestrus interval (WEI). measured diameters ultrasound collected preprandial blood samples weaning, 3 days oestrus. A tendency higher average daily feed intake (ADFI; 5.69 v. 6.61 kg/day, P < 0.07) significant lower backfat (BF; 1.1 0.2 mm, 0.05) loss were observed than one before weaning. Total (TDF) was CON sows, whereas TDF similar to (775.0 vs. 900.6 840.9 g/day, respectively, CON, MFC, 0.05). Creatinine concentration (162.9 136.6 mmol/L, 0.001). Other reproductive parameters not affected by diets. At farrowing, there no difference (P > In our study, different types DF fed body protein mobilization lactation. However, supplementation mating did neither improve nor sows.

Nutritional restriction in lactating primiparous sows selectively affects female embryo survival and overall litter development.

This study explored the possibility of sex-specific effects on embryonic survival in primiparous sows subjected to restricted feed intake during the last week of lactation and bred after weaning (Restrict; n = 16), compared with control sows fed close to ad libitum feed intakes (Control; n = 17). Restrict sows were in a substantial negative net energy balance at weaning, and lost 13% of estimat...

Dietary fibre for gestating sows: effects on parturition progress, behaviour, litter and sow performance.

In pig production, parturition progress is a key event for sow's reproductive performance, evaluated by piglet survival and piglets' performance. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of feeding a high-fibre (HF) diet during gestation on parturition progress and reproductive performance of sows. Forty-two primiparous sows (Large-White × Landrace crossbred) were fed during gestatio...

Insulin-stimulating diets during the weaning-to-estrus interval do not improve fetal and placental development and uniformity in high-prolific multiparous sows.

Piglet birth weight and litter uniformity are important for piglet survival. Insulin-stimulating sow diets before mating may improve subsequent piglet birth weights and litter uniformity, but the physiological mechanisms involved are not clear. This study evaluated effects of different levels of insulin-stimulating feed components (dextrose plus starch; fed twice daily) during the weaning-to-es...

The effect of different postweaning altrenogest treatments of primiparous sows on follicular development, pregnancy rates, and litter sizes.

This study investigated follicular development during and after postweaning altrenogest treatment of primiparous sows in relation to subsequent reproductive performance. Primiparous sows (n = 259) were randomly assigned at weaning (d 0) to 1 of 4 groups: control (no altrenogest, n = 71), RU4 (20 mg of altrenogest from d -1 to 2, n = 62), RU8 (20 mg of altrenogest from d -1 to 6, n = 65), or RU1...
